henrofi wrote: 14 Jun 2017, 19:55 I love this Dashboard. I have really good results. Thanks again Geko and everyone.

My question to you Geko and the GIG Community, is it possible to have a Setup for the "Virtual Basket Total Pips".

If we have a total pips of -100 and after a while we have a total pips of -30 open trades.

Just a section to enter a value range for the total pips?

Kind regards

Many thanks for your kind words, it’s good to have some feedback also when it is working great ;-)

I am not sure to get your idea, could you post a screenshot with additional info’s to make sure we are on the same page…

Nothing is impossible, sky is the limit lalala, excepted when ou forget to turn on “AutoTrading” on your VPS like me during the night

@Geko I noticed that you dis guarded you baskets with MA5/12 as you said that they were not more profitable? I have noticed something similar with my weekly baskets after doing a test.

The basket with MAd has a higher profit in pips but on the other hand made a higher DD, but overall even taking into account the bigger DD its still more profitable than the MA5/12 basket.

The idea to create a "slave" DB especially for filters, where we could add xxx filters (which could be activated or not) and would send a signal to the main DB (the current one)
is a genius idea Geko..This will be a great addition to the CCfp Dashboard you have already coded for us..Having different filters to confirm the CCfp signals will help us test more and find which filter works best to produce small losses and maximize gains .I am looking forward to testing the slave DB soon..Great job once again Geko..You are truly a talented and generous coder..II wish you green pips all the days of your life.
Geko wrote: 15 Jun 2017, 01:42 We are currently discussing with Forexpinbar about future developments.

Adding too much stuff in the DB is not a good idea.

My latest idea was to create a "slave" DB especially for filters, where we could add xxx filters (which could be activated or not) and would send a signal to the main DB (the current one).

Technically it is easy to do with Global Variables, but before to jump on that I want to see if there are other alternatives... Any ideas are welcome ;-)

To be serious, it is to early to conclude anything but it might be the best way to go... Stats will tell in a few days/weeks ;-)
I must admit I do not fully understand the concept of the virtual basket...

I understand how it operates, but not specifically why it is better or worse than not using it. I mean, price can always go in any direction anyways, right?

NEWBIE QUESTION . I am kind of excited to potentially use the Greed is Good EA for helping setup potentially a filtered signal - which you could manually buy and sell when the signals appear.

Do you know with that system if you could setup 3 different signal times eg 1 min 5 min and 15 min, and the system continually update the signals every 5 minutes or better to buy/sell during volotile periods?

When you set up the system on weekly timeframes, the signals appear and you can work it. When I setup 15 min timeframe, 5 min and 1 min (see attached), no signals appear.

Is there a way to make this indicator/EA into a form of a signal generating scraping system?

Also, once you buy or sell a signal - can you tell me if you can refresh the system to show you new signals and remove the old ones you might have already done? I might be missing some simple settings to do all this already- just cant seem to find them.

Hi,

I hope Alan and Forexpinbar won’t mind if I use their back tests screenshots to highlight the concept and they might jump in and give their feedback also.

The explanation is for the Virtual Basket Mode 1. I have prepared a full explanation as it might me useful for other guys also to understand the concept ;-)

So, at the beginning this concept is coming from their back tests which were performed on Excel, below are a few screenshots. When you have a minimum pips = 0 on a time slot, look at the max pips and minimum pips in the next time slot, and the same for maximum pips. On those screenshots, most of the time when you have a minimum pips = 0 on the 08:00 AM time slot, on the following time slot 09:00 AM and also the next one 10:00 AM the minimum pips is almost 0 (no Drawdown) and the maximum pips is great.

So, to summarize, it’s like having a single trade open which go straight into GOOD profit without any drawdown. It would mean that there is strength and momentum. And most of the time, when you enter such a trade on the next candles you still have this strength and momentum.

So here it is the same idea but with the whole basket. Off course, price can go in any direction… But it is a good indication that there is strength in this basket.

The second thing which I like with this VB is that you don’t rely on time anymore (you don’t care about LO NYO…). Once the VB is open it will monitor the minimum and maximum pips count and only open a basket if there are good conditions. Most of the time, during ranging conditions we won't have a mim pips or max pips = 0 and so the VB won't trigger a basket.

Here is the perfect example of such a basket in action, no DD (limited to spread) and straight into profit:

Perfect VB.png

Here is my full statement with computed results so far. The first days (even the first week) tests were not good as it was more a kind of technical test to see if the concept was working fine in the DB:

result1.png

Here are this week results only since the option to close the VB on an opposite signal and open a reversal basket was coded and since the VB is perfectly working:

RESULT2.png

You can notice the really low drawdown values. On Wednesday which was not a good day there were several opposite signals and at the end a big loss. At the moment, I am not using any SL to get some stats but with a SL of 200 pips (the value I would probably use) the results would be even better.

Those VB tests are still at an early stage, now I have to improve settings:
- Which min pips / max pips value is the best one to use to trigger VB? At the moment, I am using 20 as a 0 value is not common, maybe a value of 10 would be better…
- Which CCFp settings are the best for the VB (Daily, Weekly, FT, FF…): At the moment, I am testing the VB test 10 on the basis of my test 1 (Daily setup) but it might be better to use a weekly setup as for the Excel back test ?

So there are still some questions and off course more stats needed, but I really like what I see so far.
