I am still having trouble with the alert icons on the main screen of TM.

Would it because there are no ticks over the weekend?

Will the alerts still work even though there is no icon?

Geko, I really don't know what is going on...

I finished my analysis then sat back to watch a few videos on my phone.

The screen had blanked out, so I moved the mouse to get a look at everything...

And voila, all is well again, all alerts showing. Could you tell me what could be happening so that I can track down the problem. I am pretty sure it isn't your indicator, it has to be something that is delaying the screen update. Not sure how much time has lapsed between my first email and this one, but not working, then working. Maybe bashing my head against the wall might help.

Hi RM,

Your analysis was good, when there is no tick the indicators and especially the Dashboard are not updated “live”.

What you can do in order to force the update on the dashboard is to select the chart with your dashboard and then change the timeframe (to re-init the dashboard). (just for info, that’s not the most convenient one, there is also another solution which is to use a tick simulator like the one available with blast tools).

Second thing, I can see that most of your alerts are already activated in green or red, when most of them should be yellow… I presume that it is on purpose to perform the test.

Actually, no... I will have to go back and read the instructions as I assumed RED was when I had a short alert and green when it was for a long alert. Was wondering about the orange one

Yellow mean that an alert is set and you wait for a signal, when you have a signal, the color will change to red or green

Hmm, then I am definitely doing something wrong!

From the Trade Monitor:

Click on small box to open a TF

Set my B (BUY) or S (Sell) Alert line

Click on A for alert

Click on X to save and exit the chart.

That's correct, but as the dashboard is used to trade potential reversal setup, just make sure to place your sell line above the current price for future sell signals and bellow current price for future buy signals

E.G: exemple for a potential sell setup, your line is placed above current price. When price will be above your sell line the dashboard will generate the signal.

Cheers Geko, I understand now... no wonder my colours were all over the place.

I am getting a warning that the tool is going to expire soon. It feels like I only just installed it. Thanks for all your effort with it and all but I don't think I am going to be able to rely long term on something that can expire at any time. I think I will go back to using a spread sheet and the built in alarms.

No probs, concerning the expiration you can read why I use them in all my tools in the welcome to GiG thread, without scammers around, my tools wouldn't have any expiration and I would share the source code.

Unfortunatelly, if I don't use protection/restriction they sell my tools (and not only mine) as if they were their own development.

And a last word, all expiry dates are renewed before expiration.
