Also, weirdly, under what circumstances will the DB keep putting in trades from 1 signal?

This screen you can see there are multiple trades for each signal. the lot size is 0.01, but there are quite a few trades now, and they keep getting added...

My test is still going, even after it hits a SL, it opens more and more new trades... The Version 1.0 I tested last week did not do this, but I dont know if its a setting problem or a bug with the new version...

When I ran it first time last Friday, I had set the Section 5 - Maximum Trades to 10 thinking it was total trades, and it opened a lot of multiple trades on demo.

So now I'm thinking that setting is Trade per Signal

Have you put more than 1 in there?

Other than that, it's work fine for me today at Tokyo Open, I used LOcal Time setting +10:00,-11:00

That could be it, I had a 40 in there thinking perhaps multiple trades on several pairs, ive set it to 1. I couldnt find an explanation for that in the manual...

Also by having the "Use session open hours" = false, I think it was trading 24 hours a day because my local hour inputs are all empty at the moment...

I was trying not to use them as my local time is different to my VPS time and I didnt want to have to re-do the set files when moving to the VPS later. Perhaps this is fixed now I will try again.

Concerning your first issue, have you changed the value in settings section 5 Strategy:

Maximum of trades allowed ?

I have just changed the label of this line to “Maximum of trades allowed per pair” to avoid confusion in the future.

In normal modes, the Dashboard should open only a maximum of 1 trade per pair. I have included this option for Forexpinbar as at the beginning he wanted to mimic Xmess EA and so have the possibility to have hedges trades.

But he does not make sense in global perspective.

If your issue is not coming from here, could you sent me your preset file so as I can have a look.


Timing

Yep swaps and commissions are included:

Yes, I can confirm I had 20 set in the maximum trades, thinking it was the total of the entire basket. I can also confirm the timing was incorrect and using 24 hours a day...

Both mistakes were my issue for not clearly understanding the inputs...

In the next update to be released later I changed:

- “Maximum of trades allowed” label to “Maximum of trades allowed per pair”

- As requested by TheSnowman I changed how the header are displayed into the info block to:

I have questions about the 2 columns of Buy / Sell buttons for manual trading; are they active even though I am using as an EA?

I didn't try because I have it on live account.

Also, there is no heading for these columns, and maybe when used as EA, they could be hidden if not required for anything.

Those buttons can be used to use the Dashboard in a semi-auto mode if you turn off “use Dashboard as an EA”.

I think it is interesting to keep them available even in the auto DB, if for any reason you want to scale in trades, hedges… It could be some ideas for future developments in the strategy.

An option to hide them would be a plus off course, I am going to add that right now to have the option available in next update.

It helps me to catch and fix small glitches here and there, and it will help other users also to have a better understanding.

Under what circumstances would the signal appear but the candles do not align?
It shouldn’t, maybe a refresh issue. Do you still have the same signal on your screen? If so can you try to change the Dashboard to another timeframe to refresh the calculation and see if you still have the same signal?

As I have not yet used the bars to filter signals I have no experience with them at the moment.

Margin calculation
The dashboard reports the margin used by trades opened by the dashboard only, not for all your platform.

The idea is to be able to see how much catch is needed to be safe to trade. If you sum up the max margin with the max drawdown, you should have a good view on the maximum amount of cash used by the DB.
