Hi and first welcome at GiG AJS ;-)

So let me rephrase the way you are trading the virtual basket with Xmess EA, just to be sure I understand correctly:

- Weekly strat
- Trade level 2
- setup TF only
- Start Monday at 8 am GMT (1 hour after London Open)

At this time, you open a Virtual Basket (VB)

Now comes the part which is unclear for me at the moment:

The VB trigger a real basket if the pips is +/- 300. If I am correct, once a side trigger a basket the VB remain open which explain you can trigger a basket from the VB on both side.

- SL is 300 pips, TP is 1500 (RR 1/5 ;-) good )

So an example:

VB trigger a basket at - 300 pips:

If VB reach 0, your basket hit the SL at - 300 pips and you are flat.

Next if the VB reach +300 pips another basket is triggered…

You are correct, the current dashboard does not allow to trade this way at the moment.

It was already a long week coding… and the current VB available in the DB needs testing.

Once testing is done and the current VB is working fine, I will start implemented this idea ;-)

Just a note for later: I was thinking at the virtual basket.

Mine was not triggered yet. In order to trigger a basket the min pips coutn must be >= at xxx pips.

Here the idea, what if the max pips count never go above 0 or barely?

What about triggereing the basket with inversed signals ?

Let's keep that in mind...

PS: to be able to see if the approach is valid we need another info: what is the ending pips count per time slot. I have just added this info, it will be able in next update to be released:

Clarification needed ;-)

Strategy 1
=====================
The number which appear in the signal column appear only when you are using strategy 1, as the strategy 1 can use a lot size multiplier if there are multiple valid signals.

Strategy 2
=====================
The strategy 2 do not have this number as to have a valid signal, it must be valid in all timeframes:

Whether you use the same timeframes (here no valid signal):

Or you use different timeframes (here 2 signals):

The valid signal appears with a color in the signal column, the number is just the potential lot size multiplier.

So, concerning your screenshot, it is correct you have 3 valid signals which are represented with a green band.
Roger, roger, I got it now :-D

Geko wrote: 02 Jun 2017, 11:17 @ John: You are right, additional infos are needed concerning the Virtual basket. I am going to answer your questions in this post and add the answer in the user guide as well ;-)
TheSnowman wrote: 02 Jun 2017, 04:52 When using this feature, say every hour, it over rides any trade time settings for Sessions or Local Times, right?
When using the Virtual basket option, it over rides any trade time settings for Sessions or local times. Times used are the Virtual Baskets time slot which are local hour.
TheSnowman wrote: 02 Jun 2017, 04:52 And it will only open trades up to the maximum allowed per pair? So future monitoring is redundant?
Correct, the future monitoring gives you an information about how the baskets are performing. You can see if they went into drawdown once opened or straight into profit
TheSnowman wrote: 02 Jun 2017, 04:52 I was doing good using the range time for opening trades; I don't know why on FF they get so carried away with "what time did you open the basket?"
I am not sure about this range time feature for opening trade. I have never used it and I don’t know how it works. More info’s? Is it something which should be included in the DB?
Thanks very much for that, all clear now with VB.

As for the range time, that is in the xmess7 EA to allow more control and set longer time for trades to trigger.

Already you have way more options to cover this with session times settings and local times setting; nothing extra is needed.

Much appreciated, John

Welcome on board Alan and your idea seems great and profitable and should be explored further..
Ajs5274 wrote: 02 Jun 2017, 10:47 For the previous month I have been using lvl2 10080 TF 8am, Mon Starts.

I have been testing the v.baskets (xmess7 ea) to trigger me into a trade at +300 or 300 pips. Until now the -300 pip reverse trades are an estimate.

My sl is at 300 pips for each side and my tp 1500 pips, BE+50 at 300 pips.

If market triggers my -300 pip basket I move my + trigger basket to 1 pip and visa versa.

So The most I will lose in a week is 600 pips.

Week 1: 50+1500 pips.(from -600+ to over 1500+)= 1550 pips

Week 2: I had ea issues and was away. I know the basket finished >-600 pips not sure if it went to +300 first. (I will count it as 0 )

Week 3: - basket..1500 pips

Week 4: -300 to +1500 = 1200 pips

So for the Month of May min estimate of 4250 pips or 3650 if week 2 had 2 losses...

Geko I don't think this is possible in your current version of the dashboard. But if this could be implemented that would be fantastic.

Summary:

vbasket on, enter at 300 pips or -300 pips (reverse trades).
BE+50 at 300 pips profit.
SL 300 pips.
What ever happens first +300 or - 300 pips move opposite basket to 0 or 1 pip for entry.
TP 1500 pips on either basket.

I hope this is clear and can be implemented.
BTW love the dashboard.

Hi Geko,

First at all thank you for the invitation! I am very excited with the Dashboard.
This morning after read all thread and the PDF user guide, I installed the v 1.07 dash.
Everything was smooth, them I clicked ALL to open all valid signals just to see the dash working... after few hours 200 pip TP.
I will do more tests to get more familiar with the Dashboard and report it.
Thank you again Geko and Forexpinbar for the hard work in this project.
Green pips for all!

It seems there is something special about the 1st trading day of the month..I maybe be wrong but from little observation and tests that i run on the 1s trading day of May and June , results are very impressive..On 2nd May which was the first trading day of May , I opened a multiple basket with the monthly(43200) signals and in about 3 days i made a whooping 19000 pips ...I was curious so I decided to run another test on the first trading day of every month since May and keep records for better confirmation of this scenario..I opened a multiple monthly basket on 1st June which is first trading day of June and here is my result.Very impressive I must say..I dont think it is a coincidence that the monthly and weekly signals opened on the 1st trading day of the month performs so well..

MY SETTINGS
TIMEFRAME SIGNALS =43200(MN)
Trend filter ON..Use previous Monthly(MN) candle as filter
LEVEL 5 (FF , TF , FT)
LEVEL 6 (FF , TF , FT)
LEVEL 7 (FF , TF , FT)
LEVEL 8 (FF , TF , FT)
LEVEL 9 (FF , TF , FT)
LEVEL 10 (FF , TF , FT)

TIMEFRAME SIGNALS =43200(MN)
Trend filter OFF .Use previous Monthly(MN) candle as filter
LEVEL 5 (FF , TF , FT)
LEVEL 6 (FF , TF , FT)
LEVEL 7 (FF , TF , FT)
LEVEL 8 (FF , TF , FT)
LEVEL 9 (FF , TF , FT)
LEVEL 10 (FF , TF , FT)

NB:All baskets were opened at 9AM GMT

I think this 1st trading day of the month is a pattern that can be explored..

Nearly correct. ...for example if + 300 basket opens first my sl 300 but my -300 baskets (reverse trades) has now moved to 0 pips. So never flat. Similarly if my -300 basket opens first then what was my +300 moves to 0 pips to open normal basket.......
