Today was not the best day for daily baskets at all. My daily baskets have lost almost all their gains for the week. It was a mixed bag besides the weekly baskets which performed ok for today.

The FT daily basket did not do well at all today and is now in big DD. I'm hoping for a recovery tomorrow for the FT basket, if not then I'll remove it. Last week the FT basket did ok, but not great and this week was a last trial test, but after today I'm questioning keeping it. This does make me wonder if perhaps running a basket with TF and FF at multiple levels could maybe work? I'll think about that...

As for the weekly baskets it survived today's red news. Earlier in the day it had lost over 2000 pips but at the end of day it had rebounded to previous levels. One thing I've is that most times when there is red news and the CCFp signals react negatively, the market tends to respect the previous tend and will move back to previous prices after some time which works in favor for the weekly baskets, but not for the daily baskets. So if the CCFp has signals which will be affected by red news there's a chance your daily baskets won't do well at all, as was evident in today's results. Ok enough babble for me, below is today's results! :-D

And its a wrap! We now at the end of the week and now I can add up all the numbers to give some proper results. What a week its been, with some very good days and some bad days. Overall I'm pretty pleased with the results this week. The weekly baskets finished off amazingly and my best results to date. The daily baskets on the other hand did not fair to well.

The daily FT basket which I had thought was a good idea did not fare too well with a weekly total loss of -388 pips. Not the best result so I removed the basket from further testing. The daily baskets running TF,FF,FT, level 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 did not perform as I had hoped and I finished actually with a small DD.

The real winner this week was the weekly baskets... 11550 pips!!! Oh yeah it was a winner! :-D I'm really impressed by the performance of these baskets this week as they made so many pips and had minimal DD. I'll definitely be testing this set up again to see if it was just this week or if it will be consistent.

See below results. ;-)

Monday 19/06

Alright a new week and a new day! I'm very excited and curious about this week as I really want to see if I can replicate last weeks results. I'm not sure if I can but I will try! :-D

Anyway today was a slow day quite typical for a Monday. The weekly baskets got off to a good start however the daily baskets did not. I'm really not sure why but it is what it is. I'm hoping that during the week the daily baskets will catch up.

Just to refresh the new readers, you can see the settings for the 9 weekly and 9 daily baskets I'm testing in this link below;

Wow what a slow day. With no major news today there was nothing to shake the market and make the baskets move, so overall there were no losses but also not big amount of pips made.

Both baskets finished the day with some small green pips, definitely nothing like last week! :-D

RED Wednesday 21/06

RED WEDNESDAY. Today was a bloodbath for all baskets. All baskets in serious DD today and all weekly and daily gains have been lost. I forgot to take down the results of my daily baskets but from what I see I lost +-1000 pips. :x

As you can see below all profits gained on my weekly baskets are also gone, and this is after being +900 pips yesterday...

I'm hoping the baskets will turn back around over the next 2 days, time will tell.

It really is a very sharp contrast to last week when by last week Wednesday I was already passed 10000 pips lol. :P

Can this week end yet? Today was another boring day with nothing really major shaking the markets or baskets.

None of my daily baskets triggered today because of the ADR setting. Most pairs were above their ADR so as I have that as a trade filter no signals were activated, perhaps that was a good thing looking at the markets today.

The weekly baskets are still in DD but did recover quite a bit so they showing some turn around. I'm hoping that tomorrow they can make up, but time will tell.

The bloodbath week is finally over! :-/ Wow what a disastrous week for my baskets, and I mean all of them including my non GIG CCFp baskets. I don't know what it was, but it seems all pairs were either reversing or consolidating their big gains from last week.

This weeks performance put a dent into the weekly baskets and took back all the daily baskets gains from last week, so much for that!

So this week I was thinking of some new baskets and had some ideas which I'll begin testing this coming Monday. From my personal observations and results I've had the most success on TF settings than FF, and FT. I've also had more success using the MA5/12 instead of MAd, so I decided why not do a test with these favorite settings but using different trade levels as a kind of filter.

I also had an idea to add a basket that will target a small TP opened during the Tokyo session, kind of like an in & out, hit & run basket that will make me 150 pips before I even wake up.

So on Monday I'll be adding 3 new baskets to my testing:

Basket 3: Weekly, TF, MA5/12, level 5,6,7,8, 09:00GMT open till Friday 19:00GMT.
Basket 4: Daily, TF, MA5/12, level 5,6,7,8, 09:00GMT-19:00GMT.
Basket 5: Daily, TF,FF,FT, MA5/12, level 2, 23:10GMT-11:00GMT.

Hey guys a little update. I've added an additional 2 baskets starting tomorrow. I'll be attempting to try the VB thing again after previously I hadn't had success with it, but since studying more on it and seeing the positive results from some of you I'll be giving it another shot.

I'll be adding the following baskets;

Daily, TF,FF,FT, Level 2, trend filter ON, MA5/12, VB mode 2, set to trigger at 200/-200, monitoring starting at 06:00GMT, TP at 500, SL at 200.
Weekly, TF,FF,FT, Level 2, trend filter ON, MA5/12, VB mode 2, set to trigger at 300/-300, monitoring starting at 06:00GMT, TP at 1000, SL at 300.

Lets see how this week goes, with 5 new baskets being added for testing. So to summarize I am now testing the current 9 weekly basket sets, and 9 daily basket sets, and these 5 new baskets. Fun times ahead. :-D

Monday 26/06

Monday, typical Monday that was today. There was no real major movements in the market to do anything drastic to the baskets and as a result I don't have the best figures. Some baskets didn't trigger and others were just boring.

One thing I've observed is that the daily baskets are just not as profitable as weekly baskets. I've been testing daily and weekly baskets for weeks now and every time the daily under perform. I'll give it till the end of this week and if the daily baskets still give me the same results, I'll be cutting them.

Today my daily basket set was in a loss, while my weekly started off the week pretty nicely. The late night TO basket made a small loss but that was in some part my fault.

The daily VB triggered but closed in a loss an the weekly didn't trigger.
The weekly and daily TF baskets also didn't have any signals today.

so as you can see it was a mediocre Monday, lets hope tomorrow will be better.

An interesting day it was. Some good and bad results. Let's start with the good. My daily VB basket triggered today and took a nice 200 pio profit. My weekly VB didn't trigger the signals for some reason so I manually opened the signals and its currently running on around 100 pips profit.

My TO (Tokyo open) basket didn't trigger last night and I need to figure out why that happened.

Now for the bad news, my daily basket set saw complete blood bath today, really confirming the need to close that test down. It was the worst day since I started that test.

The weekly basket set did ok today swinging in and out of DD and currently still in DD, but there's still 4 days to go.

Overall not the best but not the worst, well... except for the daily baskets which got murdered today. Lets see how tomorrow goes. :-)
