Friday 23 June

Another awful day for Daily baskets, and not a good week for weekly either.

This week was just a disaster compared to last week:

After only one month of tests, I think that we can conclude that Daily baskets won't be profitable on the long on this basis, as they do not generate consistent results. Even if I do not manage those baskets with TP or SL, the figures are really explicit.

I am going to discard some of those tests to try other settings and of course some new settings using Virtual Baskets.

Yours guys are also testing some interesting approaches with some fast in fast out approach...

PS: Attached you can find my XLS files that I will upload in third post later the time to change the wording. Now this XLS file match the CSV files exported by the DB to make it easier to anaylize results ;-)

Weekly results

Not a good week for all tests and especially for Daily tests (again).

This week, even VB tests mode 1 are not performing well. I have to work on the code to make sure everything is ok (again).

Weekly baskets were green at the beginning of the week and now they are in drawdown.

The good satisfaction is coming from the Test 11 VB mode 2 Alan's way...

Here are this week resuults so far (a bit late...)

Thursday 29 June
Daily tests were just ok and green, not that bad considering the previous Daily baskets results.

Friday 30 June
Another bad day for Daily baskets.

Daily baskets are red again for the week… I didn’t had time to prepare some new tests with other settings last week-end, but for the coming week I definitely have to discard them and prepare some tests based on weekly timeframes and Virtual Baskets.

Weekly baskets tests 6 & 7 closed in red.

Virtual basket mode 1: it was not a good week for VB mode 1. When markets are ranging there are quite a number of signals with min pips = 0 or max pips = 0 just before a reversal to get back in the range… I have to work on the settings to find alternatives for the VB mode 1 (weekly timeframe, other hours…).

Virtual basket mode 2 (Alan): The second green week ;-) An in-trend basket was triggered and was closed at London Close on Friday without reaching + 1500 pips. Anyway, it was closed at + 1227 pips (max pip was + 1405).

For the coming weeks, I discard all Daily tests (tests 1 to 5).

I have added some weekly tests to test the various setups on the weekly TF:

==> Test 14: Weekly setup, Trade Level 2, TF, with the Trend Direction filter OFF
==> Test 15: Weekly setup, Trade Level 2, FF, with the Trend Direction filter OFF
==> Test 16: Weekly setup, Trade Level 2, FT, with the Trend Direction filter OFF

I will add a monthly setup on Wednesday.

Week 27 results

W27.png

- That was a good week for the weekly baskets which were all closed into profit without any major DD. It is too early to have an indication about the best performer between FT, FF, TF.

- Test 10 with VB mode 1 had another red week. I will discard this test also the time to find a better alternative.

- Test 11 with VB mode 2 Alan’s way has his first week in red. A first reversal basket was opened on Monday and closed at the -300 pips SL. Then the in-trend basket which was triggered was closed with the trailing protection at + 50 pips, so a net result of – 250 pips. So far, the total cumulated pips in profit is + 1928 pips.

- Monthly basket (test 19) is in profit so far, let’s see where it goes (no big DD so far).

Week 28 results

Post 1 updated with my latest XLS file with all my results.

Not a good week for all tests even Test 11 (Alan VB) which hit both SL (-600 pips) for the first time.

W28.png

Not a lot of comments as I was really busy last week and didn't had time to monitor results on a daily basis.

Week 29 results

A mixed week for Weekly tests, some closed in loss when others in profit. Special heads up for test 14 (Weekly setup, Trade Level 2, TF, with the Trend Direction filter OFF) which closed with + 1208 pips this week. I think this test 14 will become the most profitable of all tests.

Monthly test is at + 502 pips at the moment, the highest profit so far for the month was + 1856 pips. It doesn't want to go higher for the moment...

Test 11 Alan VB Mode 2 had the first leg closed in loss at - 300 and the second leg closed with the trail at +50.

Post 1 updated with my latest XLS file.

Now it's time to set up some new tests with the Sub/Main Dashboards. I have a few ideas, I need to find which ones make sense.

Here the monthly test screenshot for archive:
