OK, it seems I'm definitely having refresh issues...
capture.png
It took this chart a few minutes to eventually update with no user intervention. Is this normal behavior or is there a problem? I like to see when things happen as they happen. It did finally update with all the trades, but for those 3-4 minutes I was left wondering WTF is going on...

Anyone else getting this lag?

Hi,

WTF is this ????

Never had this kind of issue, I tried to mimic your issue to understand where it is coming from but I am no yet sure.

First thing I have tried is to desynchronize the system clock to see what is the outcome.

So, to avoid issues, the best advice is to make sure that the system (windows OS) clock is right on time or even 1 second ahead:

Then have you changed the refresh timer in the DB settings, it is advised to let it at 1 second:

I am still trying to mimic your issue… I hope those tips will help already.

Im not so sure that changing my clock time is the issue. Eventually the EA catches up and the time matches correctly (below) so it is a temporary problem, but I dont know why, it was not a few seconds out of alignment, but several minutes...

My refresh in the DB is set to 1 second as recommended...

While I was trying to mimic your issue, I found a potential issue, I am not sure if it is the reason why you had this problem, however I have included a fix.

To avoid CPU issues, as the dashboard is performing a lot of calculations, some calculations are performed every seconds, some every minutes…

What I have just flagged is that if your system (windows clock) was lagging a few seconds behind MT4 time, some refresh calculations were not performed correctly. It was concerning the Session time:

For example:
===================

MT4 time = 12:00:00
Your local time = 11:59:00

When MT4 was calculating the hour offset between your local time and MT4 server time it was considering that the hour time was 1 hour when in fact there is no hour gap.

I have included a few lines of code to avoid those seconds gap issues. Now the gap can go up to 20 seconds without interfering with the DB.

Not everybody should be concerned by this issue but in any case a fix is coming ;-)

Will be uploaded in post 1 later today the time to find the potential issue concerning firewight.

But indeed it has nothing to do with your refresh issue.

@ quadrifoglio: for the moment, I have stats about the different outcome of FT, FF, TF only for Daily setups. Weekly tests will come soon. First, I wanted to test intensively the dashboard to see if it was working as intended ;-)

The DB is working fine here so far; however, we have noted a few bugs with some guys so I will try to fix that first to be all on the same page and have more stats to share.

Geko wrote: 30 May 2017, 13:32 If you want to perform tests before that you can tweak NY open time ... but you know it, and as said if needed we can have a look together.
I have a very decent laptop that I'm using, and its never had any CPU or slowdowns before, so I normally have a lot of things on the go at any one time.

That being said, I will close as much as I can to be sure its not my computer causing the slowdown, just in case...
