The purpose of this sub forum is to discuss Digital and Crypto Currencies instruments.

You can share your point of view on the ones you find interesting, the potential trading opportunities, interesting ICO…

Trading Cryptos is really different from trading forex. It would be closer to an investment in a company. You have to study the project, the people behind the project, the feeling, the sentiment about this project…

Most of those Cryptos have community rooms where the founders and the teams discuss the pros and cons of their companies/projects.

Preliminary questions:
A good start to see if it is worth studying a coin could be at first to answer to those questions:

Question 1: Do I understand the tech?

Question 2: Would I use the tech/company myself?

Question 3: Do I see other people using this tech/company in 3 years?
Question 4: Do I have any type of advantage investing in this token?

More about this process at this link: By Jon Creasy: Ask These 4 Questions Before Investing in Any Cryptocurrency .

Relative importance:
If you answered YES to those 4 questions, then the next thing you want to check is the Crypto capitalization and the volume of transactions.

You probably want to avoid anything below half a million or even 1 million.

It is critical to have enough volume to make sure you will be able to get in and out of your trade.

You can find easily those information's on this website coinmarketcap .

Trading strategies:
As for any instrument, each trade will be motivated by a different reason, whether it is based on a fundamental, a technical or a sentimental analysis.

Most of the trader will motivate their initial entry with a fundamental and sentimental analysis. Then they will use technical analysis to re-enter…

We will discuss various ideas in the main Cryptos thread.

Please note that the daily variations on Cryptos can be huge, it is common to see +/- 30 % intraday swings.

One last advice for this introduction is to avoid trading Cryptos on margin considering the intraday variations.

Let’s share our views and charts about our favourite Cryptos instruments. You are welcome to flag potential scam as well, it would make sense to create such a list.

I would like to post me experience with crypto.

*Be Warned*

Not to derail this thread, this is simply my personal experience and I am sharing it so others may learn and understand what can happen.

Crypto in itself is a great idea and I am a supporter of BTC. However, Cryptos are not backed by anything, they do not have the weight of a whole economy to back them up, which means, they can fold and dissapear overnight.

Anyone can build their own crypto currency. And this is he problem. There are *many* dodgy practitioners out there, who have made many cryptos, with great ideas behind them, they hype up the new crypto in which they have a certain amount of pre-mined coins (maybe 20% or higher) and once the coin hits the crypto exchanges, they pump up the price, then dump all their coins at the top, and they are then out with a huge profit, after which only those left with coins they purchased at the height of the popularity of the new coin, are left holding the bag of devaluing crypto, with no one who wants to buy it.

I have been caught on this with large real world losses, after which I only look at Bitcoins themselves, and avoid other cryptos like the plague.

So just keep this in mind. The USD is backed by the American government and economy, as is EURO, or any other currency. This weeks latest coin (burner coin, aurora coin, doge coin, whatever it may be), is not. I've had a lot of experience in mining alt coins and using the exchanges. At this point they were all web based, so no chance of auto management or tools like Forex and MT4 has.

If anyone wants more details feel free to PM me.

Cheers!

Cryptocurrency is a digital representation of value. When you use a crypto currency, you are storing value in a mathematical model of a unit of weight. Cryptocurrency investors can make good money if they trade on the right exchange. Many people believe that the market is insane and that all of the cryptocurrencies have no value. If they only knew how many good coins exist.
