Hi Guys, I have an indicator that allows me to change the chart symbol with the up/down arrow keys, as well as change the chart timeframe with the left/right arrow keys.

This allows scanning through many chart symbols and timeframes a very quick process, and it works very well.

However, I would like, when the up/down arrow keys are used to change the chart symbol, that the indicator ALSO changes the symbol of all open charts to the new symbol. I do not want the left/right arrows to change the timeframe of other open charts, as these will be the same chart symbol on a different timeframe already.

I would be very grateful if someone could help with this.

The attached modified indi should do the trick (my first lines of code since my summer break). I have included an input in the indi variables for the requested mode.

By the way, I don’t know how you are using this indi, but have you already tried CDM?

I havent tried CDM, but yes I use this indicator all the time for my manual trading. This new update will make things MUCH easier for me, thank you very much!

Argh actually there is a problem, it is also updating the timeframe of all open charts, which is what I didnt want it to do...

Change all open charts to the new symbol = true
Change all open charts to current timeframe = false

Obviously theres no point having 4 or 5 of the exact same symbol and the same timeframe charts open at the same time ;)

yep you are right I am going to tweak it right now.

CDM should do what you want by clicking on buttons and it also rearrange charts A must to try, one of my 2 main tools.

I'm sure you are right about the CDM, but I am trying to get away from clicking buttons, cos I'm lazy like that ;) I actually have a button click indi that does the job, but I find the arrow keys flow a little easier...

Got it, but when you have spare time, just spend 2 minutes on it (CDM) you might like some of its cool functions
