Today we have a new tool for you, an indicator which can display MA & TMA Ribbons on your charts.

You’re going to tell that, so far, there is nothing new and that we can find plenty of ribbons on the web!!!

You are right but this one is completely different.

I have coded this indicator, but it was possible only thanks to Gordon. He has coded some tools to display MT4 charts in a complete different way.

A huge thanks for Gordon who is the most brilliant code that I know. I give him full credit for that!!!

So far, MA ribbons were cluttering your charts, hiding candles and useful information’s, they had an awful look on your chart when you were zooming… they were looking like that:

Now comes this innovative tool which displays the ribbons in a complete different way.

This tool has 9 different modes:

Display 1 MA
- Display 1 MAs and colour the outer part of the chart (below/above MA)
- Display 2 MAs
- Display 2 MAS with inner ribbon
- Display 2 MAS with outer ribbon
- Display Central TMA
- Display Central TMA and colour the outer part of the chart (below/above TMA)
- Display TMA Channel with inner ribbon
- Display TMA Channel with outer ribbon

In addition, you have:
- some transparency options
- a trend option for the MAs colour (if fast MA above slow MA…)
- a channel option to display the MAs

The settings are really straight forward, so don’t look for a user guide.

Hi Geko,

Great indicator - looks brilliant without getting in the way.

However, just a couple of observations -

- I can't seem to get the period separators to show - chart settings don't apply and there's nothing in the indi settings to apply them.
- I can't limit the indicator visualisation. I like to have indicators on the lower timeframes but keep my higher timeframes clean. However, although this indicator doesn't show on the higher timeframes, all the chart settings are still applied which hides some of my other indicators I'm using. Is there a way for this indicator to have no effect on the timeframes it's not selected for?

Your observations are right, I have coded this MA tool beta version prior to code Blast which has got the settings you are looking for.

I will update this MA tool soon with additional settings to manage timeframes visibility.
